I just tested it with site:http://*.craigslist.org (item to be searched for) and it appears to work when I manually test it. When I tested it, I got links from all over the country. Now if someone would list what I am looking for…

Make sure you select Web from the Type drop down list, and test the alert before you save it.

Is there any code that works to get alerted by Craigslist from all areas. Like replacing “Philadelphia” with * or something?

Hi! We do this service for multiple sites and multiple niche search term matches. And Im still not seeing how Google Alerts allows you to do matching to custom URLs.

For instance, we scan multiple URLs for you for multiple or single keywords. Check out http://www.cellalert.net/trackanything

I can’t find any way to do that with Google Alerts.
